Website design in Malta

Last updated 17 October 2026

Studio Lab is a digital studio in Malta that designs websites and landing pages for local businesses, from €350. Every site is built for the phone first, has an enquiry or booking form and a WhatsApp button, and comes with the Google basics set up. Scope and price are fixed on a 15-minute call before work starts.

What a Studio Lab website includes

  • From €350: a landing site or a business website of up to 5 pages
  • Phone first: every page is designed for the phone screen first, then the desktop
  • One tap to WhatsApp: every page ends in a WhatsApp button with the message already written
  • Bookings and forms: viewings, tables and appointments booked straight from the page
  • Found on Google: search basics, a Google Maps link and page speed set up from day one (no ranking is promised)
  • Text written for you: Studio Lab writes the page text from the call, and you approve it
  • Yours to keep: the domain is registered in your name
  • Hosting and care, €29 a month: hosting, updates and small changes

What features does a small business website really need?

Five things do most of the work. A first screen that says what you do and where in Malta. One obvious action: WhatsApp, call or book. Proof a visitor can check: real photos, prices, and the reviews you already have on Google. Opening hours and a map link. And pages that load quickly on a phone. Everything else can wait until those five are right.

What questions should I ask a web designer?

Ask seven things. Is the price fixed before work starts? Who writes the text? Will the domain and the site be in my name? What does a change cost after launch? Is it built for phones first? Which Google basics are included? Can I scroll a real page you built on my phone?

Studio Lab's answers: the price is fixed on the call, with no hidden charges; Studio Lab writes the text from what you tell it and you approve it; the domain and the site are in your name; changes are covered by hosting and care at €29 a month; every site is phone first; titles, descriptions, a sitemap, a Google Maps link and page speed are included; and the home page lets you scroll a real store page inside a phone frame (the founder's own brand, Home of Wellness).

How do I get my new Malta website to show on Google?

Four steps, in this order. Create a Google Business Profile with exactly the same name, phone number and website as the site. Add the site to Google Search Console and submit its sitemap. Give each service its own page, with the service and "Malta" in the heading. Then ask real customers for reviews on the Business Profile, every customer the same way. Studio Lab sets up the search basics on every site. Nobody can guarantee a Google ranking, and Studio Lab does not promise one.

How do I make sure I own my domain name in Malta?

Register the domain in an account in your own name, with your own email address, and give your designer access to it rather than the other way round. This applies to a .com and to a .mt or .com.mt address alike. If a provider says the domain is "included", ask whose name it is registered in and how you would move it if you leave. With Studio Lab, the domain is registered in your name; the studio only connects it.

Landing pages

A landing page is a one-page site built around one action: book, call or order. It suits a launch, an ad campaign or a single service. It is priced inside "Websites from €350", with the scope fixed on the call.
